Human Circulatory System Diseases

There are many different types of diseases and disorders that are related to circulatory system in some way or another. This guide will go over the various things that these disorders can do to your body and what you need to do to prevent these kinds of things from happening.

High Cholesterol
Cholesterol is the biggest and most common problem when talking about the human circulatory system. Think of cholesterol like brushing your teeth. When you eat foods that come from animals (meat, dairy, and eggs), you collect a certain amount of cholesterol in your body. Normally, this cholesterol simply floats through your veins and arteries and minds its own business until your body disposes of it. If you have too much cholesterol, however, the cholesterol forms a plaque on the inside of your veins and if it’s not flushed out in a timely fashion then it will turn into a much hard tarter. If the tarter is STILL not removed, then it will turn into cavities that will begin eating away at your veins and arteries until you are dead. Is this what you want? If not, stay away from foods that are high in cholesterol and visit a doctor to consider your options of removing excess cholesterol in your body.

Heart Disease
There are actually many different kinds of heart disease but the one thing all have in common is damage to the heart in some way or another. This can also usually be attributed to eating foods that are high in saturated fats and not doing enough excercise to stay fit. Some people who stay fit, such as athletes, can also get some forms of heart disease and the only real way to prevent it is to see a doctor and talk to him about the various ways of treating, curing, and preventing heart disease.

Cancer
Cancer is getting ever more common in today’s society. Although cancer has been around for thousands of years, we have a lot more toxins in not only the air today but also in our food and water and we specifically do things despite the fact that we know they can harm us. Take smoking, for instance. People smoke all the time despite the fact that statistics show it causes cancer of both the lungs and the heart. It’s amazing how stupid of a species we can be despite our technological advancements.

Depression

Believe it or not, depression is also a condition that can cause problems with your circulatory system. Studies have shown that depression can often relate to physical problems, athough we don’t know why. It’s just like tears. Some say that tears are a product of having so much emotion that it overflows onto the physical body. Now whether that’s how it works or not, depression and stress can play a big role on our bodies. So sit down, take a breather, and know that you’re going to be just fine, as long as you don’t worry about it.

Type 2 Diabetes
Type 2 diabetes is a condition in which the body produces insulin but it either doesn’t make enough of it or it doesn’t use it the way its suppose to. Insulin is necessary for the sugar in the blood to be able to enter cells so that energy can be produced. When the body doesn’t use insulin the way it’s suppose to, you will feel tired almost all of the time and you will constantly be too weak to do anything that you should be able to do based on your age or muscle size.

Type 1 Diabetes

Type 1 diabetes is a condition similar to type 2 diabetes except for the fact that type 1 is much worse. Type 1 diabetics produce absolutely no insulin for themselves and have to rely on insulin injections. When a type 1 diabetic doesn’t get their insulin, the sugar will stay in their blood and clog up blood flow which can potentially be life-threatening. Type 1 diabetics will also feel weak and tired all of the time unless they take their insulin shots.

Hypertension

Hpertension, also known as high blood pressure, is when the blood has abnormal flow throughout the body. This can cause the blood to not reach certain areas or to travel extra fast in jolts which can damage certain parts of organ tissue in your body that is vulnerable to that type of thing. Two of the most serious side effects of hypertension is that it can trigger both strokes and heart attacks.

Hemochromatosis
Hemochromatosis is a condition in which your body has an excess amount of iron in its tissues that can cause all sorts of terrible things. Hemochromatosis can make your skin a weird bronzish color, make your liver too big, cause abnormalities in both the pancreas and the joints and can even cause diabetes.

Metabolic Syndrome

Metabolic Syndrome is just a fancy term for being fat. It is true, though, that being overweight can cause problems with the human circulatory system. By increasing levels of fat in the body, you increase your risk of diabetes, strokes, heart attacks, and many other fatal events that could easily be presented by losing weight. Studies show that people who switch to a hypocaloric, low carbohydrate diet are much healthier than those who are overweight.

Thyroid Disease

Thyroid disease is a condition that effects the structure of how the thyroid gland is put together. The thyroid gland is important because it regulates growth and metabolism which is what makes us stay strong and fit. The thyroid gland produces two main chemicals known as thyroid hormone and calcitonin.

I hope that you have learned something from this guide and are now on the way to preventing these problems. I truly do urge you to see a doctor and seek professional advice before you do anything that’s recommended to you on the Internet.
